was clearing my stuff as usual and saw my liuqin pick around!! don't know where the transparent one went to already, i think misplaced it 'cause it should have been in my old wallet which i threw away quite some time ago lol (oops). but anws, kinda miss playing an instrument!! ): want to have something that i can play and be good at.. but don't think i'll join it as a cca in uni! too stressful having to learn smth new and master it within such a short time heh :p
that's a hint of my new table btw. wheeeeee.
had double beef pepper rice for lunch today!
the beef slices were really a lot more and they did taste juicier (as advertised)! guess it's pretty worth the extra 70cents (since when did they up the price of the normal beef pepper rice to $6.20? whatever) 'cause the meat isn't as dry and you get meat for every mouthful of rice you eat! haha i used to eat a few mouthfuls of rice before savouring one slice of the thin beef hahaha.
yayyyyy driving license!! this face looks so much better than the face on my matric card and tertiary ez-link card. oh boy.
this was supposed to have arrived via registered mail on the first day of my school but t'was either 'cause i was still sleeping and i didn't hear the postman knock on my door OR the postman just didn't bother knocking 'cause he wouldn't know that my doorbell's spoiled, so i ended up having to collect it from the post office in person. dad got a registered mail which i missed as well (i swear i was home that day and i heard when the postwoman was knocking. i went to the door and she was already cycling away. that isn't really my fault right??)

anws, first day of school was ytd and i can say that it went pretty well! (: the profs aren't too bad.

i think ravi would be a strict teacher (yeah, he's not a prof, but he says we can call him that not only 'cause that's the trend around but also because he likes it. lolwhut) despite all his jokes and antics haha! we don't use name tents in the AW class 'cause it's small, so he'll have to recognise us through the attendance list with all our matriculation photos- which can be blown up so he can see every single detail on our face LOL. don't think he can recognise my face from that photo anyway, mwhahaha. perks of having a chinese name too ;) spent the first lesson doing self-intro (which wasted a significant amount of time considering we only have 1.5hours per lesson) and discussion about the vids we watched, so the lesson was really like a typical gp class. wonder if i'll really be able to present my thoughts in a logical manner (okay, this was my response to his question on what we hope to get out of AW) after the mod..

mooney wasn't too bad as well! (: he's got 300 undergrads taking AS with him (proving his popularity) so i don't think he'll get down to know each and everyone of us personally, which i am thankful for :D really need to pay attention to his slides and what he says 'cause he'll call upon random students to answer his questions! didn't have my name tent so i didn't get called :D AS is basically what we've learnt in MI when we were in IP, so i really regret throwing my notes away. even my brother threw his away, what d'you expect! ): though the MI teachers kept mentioning the importance of MI and how it'll be of use in uni, i believe none of us really did heed that advice.. all the fallacies and arguments and premises BLAH BLAH. ):
it's kinda good that i have some knowledge about what mooney'll be teaching, but it's also bad because i didn't quite have a good experience with MI.. i rmb the tests were mostly MCQ format and my peers could do them easily and i just couldn't get anything right even thought i tried my luck. so consequently this resulted in me having a C+ grade in MI, the one and only C in my entire IP result slip. say whuuuut. let's hope my basic knowledge will be able to help me survive through this mod! ):

went to cck library to do my readings after collecting th registered mails and having lunch! boy, i wished i could bring that couch back home to lepak in but i think i'd end up falling asleep while reading if i were to stay in that chair forever. haha! the library was freezing cold and there weren't seats w tables available )': sobz! so many readings for AW.. topic's Weight Management, which is quite a sensitive issue to girls but.. haha i'm kinda fine with it ^^ the readings aren't entirely on weight 'cause one of the articles focuses on beauty as well.
women's confidence depends on men's assurance of their beauty.this has got to be true right!! i think it's really true that even if a girl has many other female friends who say she is pretty, a guy's compliment will come beat it flat. hahaha. sorry girlfriends i'm like that LOL.
chpt1 of the AS textbook needs to be read as well.. (okay, at least AS is to be done by next tues heh). i think i'm only this hardworking when it's the beginning of the acad year..
