Didn't get up very early 'cause we slept really late the previous night to 守岁 ^^ May our parents enjoy good health and longevity! (: Got up at about 11am+ and made my bed!! It looks so neat right. Prolly will only happen once in a year when there are visitors to my house, haha.

Early #ootd shot 'cause the family went out to baibai before the relatives came to our house! Wore last year's cny top with my spiked necklace!! At least the necklace's new haha. I don't get to wear my new clothes on the first day of cny since my fam doesn't go visiting on the first day. The sg side of our relatives come over instead! (:

And when everyone reached, we started off the dinner with a lohei!!!!

The prawns didn't turn out as good as when we had the steamboat on cny eve! ): They shrank so much! Wrong decision to stir fry with garlic! Should've just steamed them or something haha. But it's alright!

CLAIMING CREDIT YET AGAIN: I HELPED TO ARRANGE THE BROCCOLI FOR ALL THE DISHES OMG.

Including this one!! Pork ribs! (: Please take some time to notice that I arranged the stems and flowers in an alternating pattern ^^ My cous must've been glad that this plate was placed on our table, 'cause she loves eating broccoli stems, lol. Some other plates (like th prawn dish above) only has flowers haha!

Daddy roasted pork on his own! (: Pretty cool to see the whole chunk of meat in the rotisserie of the oven and the oil dripping off the skin every second it rotates, haha. Makes it feel so much healthier than the ready-made ones from outside! It's less salty too (: Everyone's getting more and more health-conscious these days..

Sashimi has got to be the absolute fav of everyone when they come over to my place ;)

And we're proud of it! :D Yummy sashimi whoooo. I'm totally whetting your appetite, eh? There were some slices of sashimi in the yusheng we tossed too!

So dinner ended and we opened the mahjong table for the aunties and uncles. They all only left at about 1am hahaha thank god for their own cars, lol.

I think the polaroid on the left gives people a false impression of the size of my house, hahaha.

We looked really tiny in it (but my dad claimed that he positioned us in the middle alr) so we decided to take another one! Looks pretty lopsided 'cause cous and I didn't kneel down in the middle, so it's our faults, haha.

A $17k rolex watch!!!!!! Caught the attention of my aunts once she stepped in 'cause the diamonds were too sparkly HAHA. Rich cous omgggg. But she earned everyone's respect through her own effort, and we're all happy for her ^^

The males (my bro and my only other male cous) refused to take photos with us so we decided to make do with just the females, haha.

So here's yet another xmas edition card I have ^^ Which reminds me, that I've yet to have my complimentary cake from starbucks! My birthday month whoooo. Love it when my cny falls on my bday month 'cause I get more angpow money / birthday money hehehe. Happygirl93 :D

After everyone's headed home, we were just so tired we went to bed. Decided to do a little something for my mum since she worked so hard every cny. She used to do everything on her own when she was still a housewife, but she's still doing majority of the chores and spring cleaning herself even though she's working now. It's been really hard for her, with her backache and all, but having seen how tirelessly she was working everyday, all of us decided to help out in one way or another.

So I wrote this short note and stuck it to the fridge while she was sound asleep.
