Daddy's back from Japan!! ❞ ♡ Sunday, March 31, 2013

(23 Mar, Saturday)
And so, it was a fine Saturday afternoon when we all decided to go to the airport to surprise daddy!

He went to Japan for a week for his business trip and now he's back! :D Didn't think we'd have the time to go fetch him, so mummy replied him on whatsapp that we don't think we'd be going to fetch him. Made it to the airport anw, and went to the arrival hall hoping to be able to give him a successful surprise.

But alas, we didn't manage to spot daddy even though we were seated just right outside his belt.. NO IDEA WHY but I guess it's because the three of us (bro, mum and I) were all fixated at the wrong exit (the one you'd only exit from if you've smth to declare), plus mummy was playing candy crush most of the time so..

I kept texting daddy and asking him random questions about his whereabouts, and I got the shock of my life when my dad responded saying that he was already on a cab. Like wth omg can't believe we missed him!! Really thankful that the taxi hasn't gone onto the expressway or anything yet, so the cabbie uncle just had to drive back from somewhere nearby..

Really a failed surprise omg ): Seems like I can't plan surprises well, haha.

But yeah we managed to reach home and daddy took out all the stuff from his luggage and.. There we go, we had this pile of stuff on our table in an instant, haha.

If you can predict that you'll feel bored 'cause I'm going to show ya all the things he bought one by one, you can just scroll through this post hehe :D

Morinaga bitter chocolate! I think we can get this in SG too, but it should be cheaper in japan heh heh. Love dark chocolate ttm!

Assorted meiji chocs :D

Morinaga's green tea chocolate!!!
I think daddy tried one but he didn't really like it, lol.

I LOVED IT THOUGH. It's so thin and it melts in your mouth so quickly!! O: Should get him royce's nama maccha chocolate to try next time!!! :D That one really heaven hahaha.

Om nom nomz with chelsea sweets. There's coffee flavour too! (: Bet you'll know that's coffee even without being able to read japanese, hahaha.

Apple jelly recommended by daddy's colleague!

This prawn thingy looks yummy!

Ok this time round you really wouldn't know what types of drink/coffee they are unless you know how to read jap, HAHAH. YAY TIME FOR JIALI TO DO SOME TRANSLATION!

LHS: dark chocolate
RHS: double espresso latte

I'm good at this, yo. Can't believe I still can read though I left the third lang centre in sec 3 hahaha.
Tried the dark chocolate drink today, not bad, quite decadent! :D

Japanese curry!!! This is the medium spiciness one, daddy bought two packs that are at level 5 omg. I always thought Japanese curry doesn't taste spicy hahaha. Ah well, more food for me to make hot when I'm in a rush for lunch before heading to school ;)

Toppings for rice~

Another packet of toppings~

I think daddy knows how lazy I am. Just boil rice and put toppings on top enough already HAHAH.

Powdered green tea!! Many packets of em hehe.

YO WASSAP IT'S TOKYO BANANASSSSSS!!

So touched that daddy actually bought tokyo bananas back for us!! 3 boxes, 2 for my 2 aunts' families, and 1 box for ourselves!! Thought I was just casually remarking that he should get tokyo bananas through our email correspondences (yeah, daddy didn't have internet connection in the first hotel he was in), and he really appeared with a bag of them when we saw him in the cab!! Like wow. Love daddy so much, yay!  He bought them on the last day at the airport before he flew back! Awesome daddy.

Some nailclipper thingy daddy bought 'cause he was given some voucher after spending them on several items at the airport. Like tourist rebate I think.

This is so funny I don't even know why he bought this hahaha

Wallet in orange!

Wallet in red!

Quite sad leh, the wallets that daddy got back aren't as pretty/usable as the one that he bought mummy a long time ago (the one that I'm using rn. Can scroll up to the first picture and see the gold-coloured wallet on the table, haha). This design doesn't have a coin compartment in the middle, but it's bigger and so it can fit up to a $50 note without having to fold it. I need to fold notes that are bigger than $2 with my current wallet, lol.

Guess what's inside this box..

A compact mirror each for mummy and I! Under my special request yet again hehehe.
According to daddy, this mirror is made from REAL gold from some leaves or whatever. Latest design hahahahaha. I don't know trends in Japan though :p

Daddy knew that I wanted a mirror ever since I dropped the previous one he got me from japan and I couldn't close it properly anymore  Quite sad that it happened, so he got me another one!! Not cheap eh, like SGD20+ for something that's smaller than my palm!! Gosh, the SOL in Japan is really high.. Having said that, I'm glad daddy is back home again! Even though our plan to surprise him failed miserably. HAHAH.
