Just one of those days I was really bored at work.

Emma was away having an interview session (with shariff's friend, I heard), so I had to take over her place to take calls. I think the rest of the agents must be pretty amused that I get to handle emma's stuff when she's not around, haha. 不亏是 e2i 的大姐大! Hahah. I remember when I described joel as emma's right hand man/得力助手, but now that he's no longer going back to help out, I guess I've gradually taken over his place..

Nah, I'm kidding. I'm just a temp, javier's the one who's going to be confirmed as a perm staff very soon. I think emma's having a really hard time letting people pass through the interview.. She told us that she wanted to hire people who can work well together as a team (like Javier and I ;) heh), but I think it'd be kinda difficult uh? Javier and I ah-ka-liao, if you get what I mean, hahaha. I feel happier taking inbound calls with this team in e2i 'cause they're generally more efficient than the previous batch (adrian and shariff, who're no longer around in incall) ^^

Just as you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.. You shouldn't judge this toilet by its sunshine-y appearance, hahaha. The auntie was cleaning the rutherford's 1st floor toilet, so I went up to the 2nd floor's toilet via the lift. Damn scary boarding the lift on my own alright, it shook before coming to a stop at the 2nd level.. I was all alone in the toilet and it really gave off an eerie feel..

Anddddd you can see my meds in the background haha. Is it okay for someone who's down with cough to drink orange juice? Will the citrus cause the throat to be more ticklish or otherwise?? I have no idea, so I drank it anyway. Desmond was giving away macs food 'cause he ordered 4 sets in the morn (just to get the harro kitty) and that caused him to be late for like, an hour. Lol. At least he bought macs for nur (who was in charge of his project), so I guess that alleviated it haha.

Earl grey tea. Didn't taste good without the sugar and milk. I think my whole fam prefers gongcha's earl grey milk tea please. HAHA.

Minute beef steak! This was good haha. 2nd in line after the oysters.

Bro and I were debating about the pronunciation (and also the meaning) of 'minute' while queueing for this. Did it mean 'minute' (my-nyute) as in 'tiny', or 'minute' (me-neet) as a unit of time?? We settled for 'tiny' anw hahaha.

Aglio oglio and uh, some fruit salad and potato salad to go with

Teppanyaki veggie. Looked good, smelled good, but t'was really oily. I couldn't finish this bowl, no matter how much I loved the veggies that were inside.

Desserts time! Sweetness overload.

Bro and I went a little overboard with the vanilla ice cream so it looked like t'was gnna topple over anytime hahaha. Very excited to try the lemon meringue tart 'cause t'was my first time!! Tasted good after all. Their desserts are not bad, apart from their cheesecake. Didn't get to try their creme brulee 'cause they didn't have any left by the time we went for the desserts..

Choc fudge cake was good, swiss roll was so-so.

Overall verdict: The variety was not really worth the money (t'was $68 per pax before the 1-for-1), and the only good food were prolly the oysters and sashimi.. We should've gone to kiseki instead!! Cheapest deal for almost the same variety and quality of food. The other two fams had their kids treating their daddies (they're working adults now already, bro and I are the youngest amongst our cousins), but our daddy had to pay for his own father's day dinner, hahaha.

Mal called while I was happily nomming on a watermelon so.. No photos of the fruits haha. He got himself a payphone card (NT200=SGD10 for 2hrs), which was kinda worth it for him to make calls back to sg! (: He had to queue really long to use the payphone in camp so I feel bad for missing his calls.. But it's always good to know that he's fine!

Does anyone know if I need to pay for overseas incoming calls?? From a payphone, to be exact. LOL. It kinda makes sense for me to pay since it's from overseas, but then again, I can't be charged if I pick up a call and I don't know that it's from a foreign number (no caller id, yo. Don't take this chance to prank call me, please) right? Ok I know I'm just making myself feel better but.. Yeah. Mal's mum has very kindly texted me (on sun) to tell me not to worry about the extra charges I incur 'cause they'll reimburse. Shit, I'll feel damn bad if they'd hvta pay more because of me.. So let's just hope it's not going cost me more! (:
