❝ SEA Aquarium & Sentosa ❞ ♡ Monday, June 3, 2013
So, zy had free tix to the aquarium and very kindly took leave and jio-ed me to go!
Had brunch @ macs and finally satisfied my craving for hot cakes wheee!
Walked in to sentosa through the boardwalk, which was the most budget way of entering HAHA. It took us about 2-3 hours before we finished touring the aquarium, so we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the beaches of sentosa! This entry'll prolly be a photoblog, so I'll let the pictures do the talking ^^ Unprofessional photos 'cause they were taken by my iPhone 4's cam ): Really thinking if I should get a good digital camera, but then again, it'd be so troublesome for me to carry an extra camera around.. Should just wait till I get a new phone and decide again. Bahhh.
Entered and watched this video and it was.. Really short LOL. Felt like my butt barely touched the ground for 5 mins hahaha. There were so many secondary school kids around that day! Took a walk around the Maritime Experiential Museum before going in to the aquarium!
Someone please tell me how this looks like a fairy HAHAHA
I swear I've seen this performance in running man before. The vietnam ep I think..?
Uh the souvenir shop is downstairs from where we were
Went into the Typhoon Theatre too! Not a bad experience though we had to spend some time walking around the museum again before it was show time at 1pm. Soooo many sec schl kids walking around armed with a pen and a quiz in hand hahaha! Poor them, didn't even see them inside the aquarium, which meant that they only travelled to sentosa for an educational trip to visit the museum..
More photo-taking while waiting for 1pm
Hi zy I think this is the first time your face is appearing here hahaha
KWANGSOO-YAH
Yeah so we watched the Typhoon Theatre show and it was really quite cool! The effects and all. Not 3D though there were vibrations from the benches, but the visual experience was awesome. Walked out of the theatre and witnessed for ourselves the site of the shipwreck hahaha.
This was actually near the exit of the aquarium.. Jiali with zilch direction sense would never have been able to find the entrance to the aquarium on her own. Hehhh. Always thankful to travel with someone who's got a good sense of direction LOL! (: Photos of fishies coming your way!
Hahaha why fish also called sergeant major one omg
These were part of the seahorse family but they're not exactly seahorses. My goldfish memory has absolutely no capacity for remembering names of sea creatures hahaha.
Starfish! I touched a starfish for the first time in my life! Not as slimy as I thought it would've been, but rather, it felt rough hahaha. Felt so humji 'cause the kids around me were all so daring and touching all sorts of creatures O.O
This is the real seahorse! The focus lens were there but they were already very visible without the lens haha.
Stingray! Nubbad eh, I created gifs y'all won't need to scroll through so many photos of marine life hahaha. Quite cute to see stingrays flapping like that haha.
The stingray showing me its backside.
Sea cucumber..?
It's come to my attention that ugly creatures are usually the more dormant ones, so it's a lot easier to capture clear photos of them ): But what's the point uh hahaha
Spider crab!
Uhm say hi to its starfish pal!
Yet another dormant creature hahaha. So is this a sotong or octopus??
So prettayeeeee omg. I was glued to the jellyfishes for so darned long omg. Which justifies why I took so many photos of them as well. It's like some disco happening here hahah.
So cool how they can take on the luminescent colours (':
So pretty right these sea jellies omg
Pardon my obsession hahaha
We were totally awed when we saw this!! Went to the front and sat down like kids and stared wide-eyed at how magnificent these creatures looked as they glided by~
Look at how close it came to us!! Huuuuuge omg.
I always thought stingrays look really happy from the underneath hahaha.
Look at this one!! Totally smiley :D
The fish that looks glum regardless of the angle hahaha
Another ugly creature that just stays there to let people take shots of it. Seriously, hahaha.
Are these corals real..?
We found dory!!
Just keep swimming~
Sea urchins!
Oh this was towards the end, like a few steps before we were about to leave the aquarium. Dormant, again.

So yup t'was about 3pm when we left the aquarium and decided to explore other the other parts! Walked to adventure cove to look see look see. T'was strangely quiet that monday! Not many people there.
I look so small here I make tiny sound like an understatement.
We boarded a tram to bring us to siloso beach!
Hihi thanks for being in the pic tho I know you don't quite take selfies hahaha
There wasn't really anything much to do in siloso beach because the people there were mostly either suntanning themselves or playing beach sports. So we just walked around (and tanned ourselves as we did that haha) on the beach. I like the feeling of treading on soft, fine sand ^^
We're at palawan beach this time! T'was a lot quieter compared to siloso o.o
The breeze compensated for the lack of good view hahahaha. Felt like we climbed a never-ending flight of stairs to reach the top, lol.
K selfies time
I thought this photo was fine when I took it, but I realized how the horizon wasn't even parallel to the top border of the photo ): I am truly annoyed by my lack of professionalism hahaha.
Hi there florals
See how empty the beach is O.O
An attempt to capture the bridge in the photo too lol
We went back to vivo by sentosa express! Awesome 'cause we didn't even pay the (exorbitant) $4 to take the monorail!! :D
Big bag 'cause I brought along my polaroid cam which we didn't find any use for ): Ah well I made do with my phone's cam anyway so t'was okay (:

It seemed like such a long time since I've just chilled and walked around the beach with my toes in the sand. Really loved how I could just stand up there and watch the waves roll and hear them crash into the rocks by the shore. And how the breeze came by so naturally and I didn't have to care about my hair being messed up or anything. Thank you for this day! (:
