Went to novena square to have lunch with shouj and janell at ichiban boshi (yet again, so now I've got the reward card thingy too hahaha)! Janell called them up to make a reservation, which was an extremely smart move 'cause the queue started to grow pretty long as lunch time approached.. We got quite a good seat 'cause other than staring at sushi from the conveyor belt, we were also watching the chefs prepare food (like deboning the salmon, cutting them up, grilling mushrooms etc).
Does anyone know what's the difference between ichiban sushi and ichiban boshi? They're both under the same boss right lol.
This pretty much looks like two scoops of matcha ice cream ehhh ;)
They're wasabi actually HAHAHA and I think we managed to trick mak and lou (who're in china now btw) into believing that they were actually matcha ice cream LOLOL.
Had sushis that I have never tried before in my entire life! I'm such a big fan of salmon yet I haven't tried sashimi with avocado before haha. And so I did today, and I must say, the avocado tasted.. Creamy hahaha.

So shouj had to leave for another meeting before she joined us again for the class bbq, so janell and I made use of this time we had to ourselves to bake shouj's bday cake! Actually janell was the one who did most of the baking, I tried my best to help though!! Hahaha. Janell's house really gives off an eco-resort feel (that was supposed to be the condo theme). Swimming pool~ It was kinda drizzling when we reached her place so there weren't many people who were swimming that day haha. There were quite a few people walking their dogs~
So while baking the cake in the oven, janell decided that she had to entertain me (LOL) so she passed me photo albums of her when she was young! She was such a cute kid I tell you!!! I finished browsing through her photo albums and we decided to watch korean dramas HAHA. I was totally shocked when janell said that she watches kdramas like homg. Watched 1 episode of city hunter ('cause of lee min ho) and I decided that t'was not a bad drama after all ^^
When we told shouj about her kdrama dvds, janell was like, "why, you think I have no life one ah?" HAHAHA omg. Janell too capable, seriously. Can study, can bake, can do sports, pretty also. Ok I should stop making myself feel inferior already HAHA :D

Janell was really skillful, she didn't have to refer to her recipe when she was pouring out/mixing all the ingredients. Too pro already haha. She said she's been baking too much, so she remembered how much of each ingredient to put already ö
Melted white chocolate chips as the topping.
Which was supposed to look white but they turned out off-white/yellowish. No idea why!
The first frosting we did was really really sweet, 'cause we didn't know that the white chocolate chips were already so sweet and we added in half a cup of sugar before tasting it and realizing that t'was tooooo sweet. Hahaha. So we made use of the remaining packet of white chocolate chips and melted them in the pot, without adding anymore sugar LOL.

Janell drove me over to joewei's condo (yay I'm like the one who takes janell's car the most hahaha), she's such a good driver I feel really safe in her car :D We were the first girls to be there, so we just sat around watching matt start the fire at the pit hahaha. Joewei and nigel were just done with tennis so they went up to wash up at jw's hse and brought the cake up too~
Sotong & stingray. They were v good hehe.
And yeah Ms Chan wanted to bring cupcakes over at first, but we had so much food to bbq, plus the cake we brought over and salad that jw's mum prepared.. Really too much. So Ms Chan said she could bring mozzie patches over. Hello kitty version, so cute! She brought kaitlyn along for th bbq too! She really needs some time before she warms up.. By the time she did, she was already feeling sleepy hahaha xD

The girls were basically just sitting around waiting for food to be served by the guys haha (I think this tends to happen after guys enter NS haha). I was really surprised 'cause all the girls drove there (yes, all 6 of us girls have already gotten our licenses :D) excepttttt for me. Didn't take me very long to get home by bus anw so it wasn't so bad ^^
Andddd finally when everyone arrived, we hinted for the guys to bring the cake down to the pit. Awkward max 'cause we didn't know how to surprise shouj with the cake HAHA so the guys just brought it in her direction haha. Everyone had a bit of the cake and t'was really yummy ^^ Chocolate is indeed a universal cake flavour hahaha.

Did any other genius get it right on first guess?? Hahaha. Took our classmates quite some time before they figured that t'was a piano keyboard, but at least there were people who managed to guess what t'was ;) The most impt thing was that shouj figured it out too so YAY :D

Thankful that matt organized this class outing all by himself! I think the only thing I did was to.. Create the whatsapp group hahaha. Matt ordered all the food and set up the bbq, while joewei booked the pit in his condo. Yay! Glad to have met my 04 classmates after aaaaages. Of our 5 years together, this is only our.. 3rd class outing/gathering? Kinda pathetic, I know. At least we all made the effort to come together again during our holidays and catch up, which I thought was really good (:
