So while the boy is away in HK while I'm stuck in singapore studying for finals.. Here's an extended version of mal's 21'st - the making of his gifts!! My artistic talent is almost always only triggered when I feel a sense of urgency hahaha. His actual bday was on a thursday but I only started buying the materials on monday afternoon D: Did spend quite some time thinking about what I should get him, especially 'cause it's his 21st.. Wanted to get him shoes but thumbs down to the superstition of gifting shoes so I ended up making stuff instead. I guess it did feel more sincere eh hahaha.

The card's design was originally printed on so I only added the parts in gold and white (:

I drew those thingies at the bottom so painstakingly hahaha spent even longer on the drawings combined than the words on the card.. D: Every single one of the drawings had a meaning to them!!! 

The bike was when we went to pulau ubin to cycle together with com club, mbs was when we saw our first rainbow and watched the sun set together, our first polaroid was taken before he flew off to taiwan anddd a picture of a girl running 'cause.. He was the first guy I went running with (and I swear I nearly died) hahaha.

Le plain corkboard!

Made colourful (: Decided to go for the coloured stripes instead of just plain black, and it turned out to be quite a good choice, other than the fact that it looked really girly with the lace sticker and all.. D:

End product! Printed the photos on wed night if I'm not wrong, DAMNNNN LAST MINUTE hahaha but at least I did all the measurements and stuff before I printed the photos ☺ It does look girly eh.. Can never make gifts for guys without them looking girly.. D:

And here's the box! Got a plain box (well everything was plain before I decorated them mwhaha) and doodled on it! I'd usually just draw on the box with a marker straightaway but I guess I felt kinda nervous for this one and decided to do the design in pencil before going them over with the marker. 

The gold-coloured part was SUCH a pain in the ass omg. There's always no ink coming out at first so I shook the marker real hard and the next thing I knew when I opened the cap was that all the ink started spilling everywhere like nobody's business. Damn badddd zomg it actually happened for the 'A' but I managed to cover it up hehe ^^

Lace tape from daiso, cheap cheap $2 hahaha and they made everything look really pretty (:

Check out the laceeeeee ahh it was so pretty I made it go round the entire box lol.

The top of the lid is a speech bubble saying 'happy 21st birthday mal' coming from.. Yours truly ^^
